Lost access to your data? Our MacMedics Data Rescue Plan is a flat $499 — no hidden fees, no surprises. That single price covers a professional evaluation of your device, a complete data rescue, and data copy to a brand new external drive to take your data home on.(Note: sometimes Time Machine is available, but when it’s not, we generally make a clone of your data, in either case both methods can be migrated to a new Mac or to Mac you already have.)
If we find that your data recovery case requires more advanced recovery work, we’ll give you a clear Data Recovery quote before doing anything additional, and your $499 still covers the evaluation and the drive (and in some cases a portion of your fee can be applied to advanced data recovery).

Also, if we’re providing a data rescue service for you, we’re going to assume you’re going want the data in a Mac format. If for any reason you need your hard drive formatted for PC, please let us know!

For multi-device consolidation projects, the $499 Data Resuce plan covers the evaluation and data copies from two drives — additional devices or damaged drives may require extra work and could involve additional fees, which we’ll always discuss with you upfront.
MacMedics iPhone Data Recovery $349
Can’t access the data on your iPhone or iPad? Our iPhone & iPad Data Rescue is a flat $349, paid upfront when you drop off your device. We’ll work to recover your photos, contacts, messages, and data and get it back to you in one of three ways:

Transfer to a new device — Purchase a new iPhone or iPad from MacMedics at the same price as the Apple Store, and we’ll move your data directly onto it.

Transfer to a device you provide — Bring us a new or spare iPhone or iPad and we’ll restore your data to it.

Backup to your iCloud account — We back up your damaged device to your iCloud, and you can restore any new iPhone or iPad from that backup on your own time. We may need your help purchasing additional iCloud storage if your account doesn’t have enough space.
Common situations we handle:

iPhones or iPads with screens so damaged you can’t see your data or start a backup

Devices that have been exposed to liquid or fully submerged

iPhones or iPads that will not power on

Devices that have been severely damaged — shut in a car door, dropped from a height, or run over by a vehicle
If we determine that the damage requires more advanced recovery beyond what our in-house process can accomplish, we’ll let you know and discuss your options before any additional work is done.

If you’re not sure whether your backup is turned on, we’re happy to check for you.
