You may have seen the notorious winmail.dat email attachments, caused by Outlook users sending messages in Microsoft’s Rich Text format, which Apple’s Mail cannot read.
Aside from having your sender change the format of the message before sending, these files need to be translated so you can read them. Thankfully there’s an easy and free was to translate them.

This program has been around for years, but has not been updated. It doesn’t specifically state 10.5 compatibility, but it worked perfectly in our recent test. And because it’s not a plug-in and is a stand-alone application it should be safe for most users to use.
