After using my 2TB Samsung SSD Time Machine drive for the past two years, I’ve decided to upgrade to a new 4TB model that offers additional durability features like waterproofing and shock resistance. While I’ll continue using the older drive every month or so, it’s important to regularly add new backup layers to ensure critical data is protected. Hard drives can fail unexpectedly, so maintaining multiple backups is essential to safeguard against data loss.
