My M2 Pro MacBook Pro recently became a “brick” during a macOS update. I visited the Apple Genius Bar, but they told me a firmware reset was the only solution—meaning I would lose all my data. I was incredibly frustrated by Apple’s lack of QA/QC on their updates and the apparent incompetence of their service system.

Desperate to save files that hadn’t been backed up yet, I followed a recommendation to visit MacMedics. From the moment I arrived, the owner, Dana, was confident in their ability to recover my data and repair the laptop.

The turnaround was incredible; in less than 24 hours, I received a call that my MacBook was fully fixed and all data was recovered. They even provided an additional external HDD with backup files. When I picked it up, Dana and the technician were professional and clear with their explanations and future recommendations. I am so relieved to have such a skilled shop nearby. I cannot recommend MacMedics highly enough!
