The Apple Store for Adults: A Customer’s Eight-Year MacMedics Story

Every once in a while, a customer says something that captures what MacMedics is all about better than we ever could.

Cindy M., an independent researcher and writer from Maryland’s Eastern Shore, recently shared her experience after more than eight years of trusting MacMedics with her family’s Apple technology. Like many of our customers, she is capable and tech-savvy—but when a serious issue happens, it helps to have experienced people nearby who can calmly sort it out.

“I’m computer savvy, but I’m a tech staff of one, and when things go south over something I can’t understand or fix, there’s no place that comes close to MacMedics for being always trustworthy, reliable, knowledgeable authorized Mac humans who always know how to fix a problem, efficiently and at a fair price.”

Cindy’s household includes a MacBook Pro, her husband’s MacBook Air, an iPad, and iPhones. She described the relief of walking into MacMedics with a problem and finding a team that listens, explains the options, and focuses on a sensible solution.

She also mentioned seeing Dana Stibolt help worried customers work through options for recovering an important photo collection without automatically pushing the most expensive route. That is exactly how we believe Apple service should work: protect the customer’s data, explain the choices, and help people make an informed decision.

In another situation, MacMedics worked to apply the appropriate warranty coverage while keeping her out-of-pocket costs as low as possible. We believe honest advice and real advocacy matter—especially when a repair, warranty question, or data issue feels overwhelming.

Cindy drives about 30 miles to visit MacMedics and says she would drive farther if needed. Her closing description made our day:

“If you’re vexed with geniuses and noisy crowds when your computer needs serious attention, I can’t say enough for ‘the Apple Store for Adults.’”

“Eight years of five-star work. I’m an independent researcher and writer whose life is wrapped up in my Apple “fleet.” In addition to my MacBook Pro (latest in a long series), that includes my retired husband’s MacBook Air, iPad, and both of our iPhones.

I’m computer savvy, but I’m a tech staff of one, and when things go south over something I can’t understand or fix, there’s no place that comes close to MacMedics for being always trustworthy, reliable, knowledgable authorized Mac humans who always know how to fix a problem, efficiently and at a fair price. Their aura of calm soothes my frayed nerves the minute I cross the door jam carrying my dysfunctional Apple.

‘ve listened to Dana Stibolt walk panicked users like me through the best ways to retrieve a crashed photo collection without breaking the bank. I’ve had damage repaired there for which they have gone out of their way to legitimately split the charge between my warranty and my-out-of-pocket expense, to keep my expenses lower.

I’ve had MacMedics staff assure me that, if some elusive answer to a Mac-wide problem or development may not yet be clear, “Apple always makes it right” (and they believe it, too). I will always buy my Apple products from MacMedics, just as I will always go to them first—a 30-mile drive from my home (but I’d drive even further, if necessary—to get things working again, whether my product is in or out of warranty.

If you’re vexed with geniuses and noisy crowds when your computer needs serious attention, I can’t say enough for “the Apple Store for Adults.”
